Barren County High School agriculture expansion underway
BARREN COUNTY, Ky.- After a bustling summer, Barren County High School is celebrating significant progress in expanding its Agriculture Department.
The school’s Ag Barn, situated at the rear of the campus, now features several new additions, including an upgraded classroom and a state-of-the-art conference area. These enhancements are designed to better prepare students for their future careers in agriculture.
Andy Moore, an agriculture teacher at BCHS, expressed enthusiasm about the project, noting the anticipation that has built over the years and the school’s commitment to creating a more effective educational pipeline.
In a poignant twist, a former BCHS student, Kaleb Mitchell, is playing a key role in the project’s realization.
Now a project manager at Alliance Corp., Mitchell is taking pride in contributing to the school that once shaped his own educational journey. He hopes current students will appreciate the hard work invested in the expansion and be inspired to contribute similarly in their own futures.
As construction continues, Barren County High School’s Agriculture Department is poised for a brighter future, with enhanced facilities set to offer more comprehensive support to students.
