Hosparus Health set to host training for volunteers in September

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local nonprofit is hosting a training for volunteers in the Barren River area.

Hosparus Health is looking for those who want to help in the Allen, Barren, Butler, Edmonson, Hart, Logan, Metcalfe, Monroe, Simpson & Warren County areas.

The training will take place on Friday, September 6th from 10 a.m-1 p.m. at their location on Riverwood Avenue. There, they’ll teach you all about what they do and how to help their community… and staff say volunteering can have a huge impact on the patients they serve.

“Whether it’s a companionship visit, just being there for them, whether it’s reading a book or the caregiver needs to run errands for a little while to the grocery or go get your hair & nails done. We have volunteers that can step in and help with that… and they love doing that,” volunteer manager Tiffany Hinton says.
