Boyce holds State of the District community meeting with Sheriff Hightower
WARREN COUNTY, Ky. – Sheriff Brett Hightower’s tour of Warren County continued Tuesday, stopping in the community of Boyce.
The Plano Volunteer Fire Department was on hand, as well as representatives from Warren County Emergency Management and the Transportation Cabinet.
We were able to speak with District 6 Magistrate Ron Cummings, who told us why he believes meetings like these are so important to members of his district and the community.
“Some people feel disconnected… people feel like government is government and it’s far away and we really don’t get to hear what I’m saying… and so we want to bring this to the communities and say ‘Hey, we’re here…’ and I tell people all the time, I’ll listen to your problem, if I can’t fix it or help you with it, I’m gonna put you in the direction of somebody who can help you with your problem,” he says.
Cummings also says meetings are currently in place for the communities of Alvaton, Plano & Woodburn, which are also part of his district. News 40 will keep you updated as to when these meetings are set to take place.
