Glasgow Police Department and fire department hosting “To the Brim” food drive

GLASGOW, Ky. – The Glasgow Police & Fire Departments are having a little friendly competition amongst themselves, all for a good cause.

The organizations are competing in the “To the Brim” food drive from now until Aug. 31.

Community members can drop off non-perishable items to either Fire Department location or the Police Department.

We caught up with Major Terry Flatt, who told us how important it is for these organizations to come together and help feed their community as we approach colder months.

“Throughout the year… obviously the Community Relief… they do a lot for our community here in Glasgow and they provide a lot of food throughout the year. So this is the time for us to step up and help them be able to provide this much more coming into the fall and the winter months,” he says.

The drive runs through Aug. 31, and you can drop off items at the two fire stations on South Broadway and Cross Street or the Police Department on Pin Oak Lane.
