Woman charged with attempted murder of her neighbor

​BROWSNVILLE, Ky. – A Smiths Grove woman is charged with attempted murder after she told Edmonson County sheriff’s deputies she shot at her neighbor.

Deputies were called at 7 p.m. Saturday to 265 Goldenrod Lane after Sandra Fabyan, 59, said she shot at her neighbor, according to a release from the sheriff’s office.

When deputies arrived they saw a bullet hole in the neighbor’s windshield. The neighbor later went by personal vehicle for a gunshot wound to the abdomen and was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital.

Deputies said they found a gun inside Fabyan’s house, according to the release. The incident stems from a relationship involving Fabyan and a man,  according to the release

Fabyan was charged with possession of a handgun by convicted felon, first-degree assault, first-degree wanton endangerment and attempted murder.

She is lodged in the Hart County Jail.
