Bowling Green hotel wins four travel industry awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- A hotel in Bowling Green is being honored with four awards from the Kentucky Travel Industry Association.
The awards were presented to Courtyard Marriott Bowling Green at the annual Traverse Awards Gala in Covington, Kentucky last week.
For the second consecutive year, the hotel was the only lodging to win Traverse Awards.
The hotel received the Award of Distinction in its division for its SOKY Spring Break Staycation PR Campaign, where it partnered with local WDNS-D93 radio to promote area attractions and give away staycation activities; Silver for its Radio Road Trip Promotions Marketing Campaign, where it partnered with Cincinnati’s WNNF, Lexington’s NASH, and Nashville’s JACK radio stations to give away Bowling Green vacation packages to nearby drive markets; Silver for its SOKY Spring Break Staycation campaign; and Bronze for its Renovation Reveal event held in June to showcase the hotel’s $3 million renovation updates.
The Frankfort-based Kentucky Travel Industry Association now has over 830 members statewide, representing hotels, attractions, CVBs and any other travel-based businesses.
