Kentucky Thermal Institute nominated for Business Journals KY’s INNO Awards

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local entrepreneur and his company have been nominated as a Disruptor in the Kentucky and Southern Indiana region by the Business Journals KY.

John Harnage is the man behind the Kentucky Thermal Institute. He founded the company back in 2016.

He’s been using what’s called a thermal camera since around 2008. This kind of camera helps determine if electrical wires or any items in a home are fire hazards.

Harnage tells us he’s humbled to be nominated as a Disruptor in the region and this is just the beginning of what’s to come.

“To get an award like that or even nominated, it just puts a spark back into an entrepreneur that I can tell you… when you think you’ve done enough and something like that comes along. It’s like wow… we got a lot more work to do now. There’s no doubt about that,” he says.

He has partnered with Western Kentucky University and the University of Louisville to teach the next generation of the thermography industry, and this award is set to honor those who are actively changing the industry they’re in.

A huge congratulations to the Kentucky Thermal Institute on this nomination!
