Greenwood High School hosts football tournament

BOWLING GREEN, KY – Greenwood High School is hosting its 7-on-7 tournament this week featuring high schools from multiple states.

Thursday night was the small school tournament with 16 schools and Friday night will be the large school tournament with 20 schools.

Greenwood coach and director of the tournament Cary White spoke on how he loves organizing the event for the kids as they get excited about starting the season next month.

“I like putting it on because they enjoy it a lot when they play it,” White said. “We like to see them compete against somebody without having put the pads on yet because we can’t put the pads on until another week or so. So, this is another way to compete against other teams.”
