Calvary Care Center expanding Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Making a difference in people’s lives within your community can be challenging to do alone.
However, with the help of Feeding America Kentucky’s Heartland, the Bowling Green Housing Authority and several community members, the Calvary Care Center is expanding to serve more people.
The facility is three times the size of the previous distribution center, and it will help minimize the number of people who are in need of food in Warren County.
John Lawyer, the director of the Calvary Care Center, shares the response from the community.
He says, “Most of us, I should say, have been in that position at some time in our life. And, and, there’s always thankful that there were people there to help. My family and I think we’re supposed to do unto others as we would have others do unto us.”
If you are interested in donating or if you need resources, you can stop by Calvary Care Center the second full week of each month on Monday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and Tuesday 9 a.m. to noon.
