Simpson County to receive new county clerk building

FRANKLIN, Ky. – The Simpson County Clerk and PVA will have a new home in the future.

Simpson County judge executive Mason Barnes says a bid for a new building for these two departments was approved during the Fiscal Court meeting Wednesday.

He says the current building has served its purpose, but is not able to accommodate the amount of records that they have.

Judge Barnes also says the majority of this project will be covered by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), and should serve the community for decades.
