BRASS, Inc. discusses Kentucky’s domestic violence report

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Many people face domestic violence in Kentucky, and a lot of it can go unnoticed.

In our region, data was collected regarding domestic violence and compared the statistics in this report with the previous year.

According to the data report of 2023, more emergency protective orders were served by the Kentucky State Police.

We spoke with BRASS in our region and learned the reality of domestic violence.

Tori Henninger, the brass executive director, tells us, “The reality is that intimate partner violence still continues to be a problem in the state of Kentucky, here locally and in the 10-county BRADD region. We remain at or above our capacity year-round. ”
