Edmonson County Parks and Rec holding annual Freedom Fest
EDMONSON COUNTY, Ky.- If you are looking for an evening of fun, Edmonson County Parks and Recreation is putting on its biggest event of the year on Friday night.
The Freedom Fest is free for all ages and will kick off at 6 p.m. with little league baseball and softball awards, local vendors and food trucks, as well as inflatables. The night will wrap up with a fireworks show at dark.
Director of Edmonson County Parks and Recreation Cody Stewart says, “We’re hoping for a huge turnout, 500 or a thousand people, more if we get them, we’ll take whoever wants to show up. Bring the whole family out, bring a lawn chair. I hope that it allows for them to come back next year. Freedom Fest is an annual thing that we do here and every year, I would hope to see it get bigger and bigger.”
Freedom Fest is at the Chalybeate Springs Sports Complex this evening. Edmonson County Parks and Recreation’s next big event will be Halloween on the Square in Brownsville.
