Matthew 25 will hold free testing for National HIV Testing Day

Bowling Green, KY.- Matthew 25 is having its biggest event of the year on Thursday, June 26, 2024. They will be set up at Walgreens on U.S. 31 Bypass from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. for National HIV Testing Day.

Organizers tell us filling out paper takes the most time, and depending on the turnout, you may have to wait in line, but testing takes only 60 seconds. The CDC recommends people get tested for HIV at least once in their life.
Prevention and Education Specialist at Matthew 25, River Carter, says, “Whether people’s tests are negative or positive, we want people of Bowling Green to know that they have options. Say the test is positive, HIV is not a death sentence like it used to be 30 years ago, and if it’s negative, you have options like prep, which is really awesome. Prep is just a medication you can take to prevent HIV.”
While supplies last, Matthew 25 will also be giving $15 gift cards to those getting tested.
