Bowling Green’s Academy for New Americans celebrate as largest graduating class

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Bowling Green is a very diverse place, and for the people who arrive, finding resources is not the easiest thing to do. However, the City of Bowling Green has worked to change this.

Many families gathered Friday afternoon for the Bowling Green’s Academy for New Americans to celebrate their graduation.

The people who participated in this program gained skills in leadership, community, economics and many other topics to give new Americans the resources for a successful future.

Leyda Becker, the international community liaison for the City of Bowling Green, says, “We also want to set up our newcomers to succeed, and so, to know that the tools and resources that we’re going to offer are going to create a ripple effect for generations to come.”
