Housing Choice Voucher Program applications are open

GLASGOW, Ky.- Renewal funding in the amount of $30 billion was announced for the Housing Choice Voucher Program.

Several cities across the Commonwealth are accepting vouchers for affordable housing. The program is for low-income people who have a disability or veterans. This program will ensure that the people in this economy that need help can get the resources that they need.

Sheri Lee, the executive officer housing authority tells us the reaction or response from the people who receive the vouchers.

She says, “A lot of times, families are very, very grateful that they get rental assistance, where the program is based on the family’s income.”
