Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital celebrates 20 years
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital is celebrating their 20th anniversary.
CRSH opened on June 9, 2004, and they have served approximately 4,500 patients within the last 20 years.
Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital is the only one in the region serving long-term acute care patients, providing specialty care for those who require longer and more complex hospitalization.
RN case manager in admissions for CRSH, Lindsay Collins, has been at the hospital for 15 years.
She says, “There is so much involved in the care, and the patients are so sick that that support means everything, it means everything for the family to be able to be there to see their loved one every day if they want to. We have open doors, people can visit. And also for the patient, to be able to have that support, because that support is so necessary when you’re trying to recover from an extensive, very complex illness.”
With medicine advancing every day, CRSH plans to continue addressing complex issues and keep up with advancements to provide the level of care each patient needs.
