Vintage Car Show held for Duncan Hines Days
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Down at the square, cars lined up for a week-long festival to celebrate history.
Ducks, along with vintage cars and trucks, are the perfect way to celebrate Duncan Hines Days.
Many volunteers and event organizers tell us that this bringing history to the community is just a small part of what it’s all about.
Cruisin’ for a Cure spokesperson Kevin Kirby says, “We’re so blessed that the city does things like this and have festivals, and we’re blessed to be able to come down here and spread our word, what we do, and, and help get cards down here and have a great festivity to work. Oh, ya’ll can come down, enjoy the cars and have a nice night downtown Bowling Green.”
While people are enjoying the cars, they also can gain a greater understanding for what history the cars bring.
Greg Duvall, a lifelong Buick enthusiast, says, “A lot of these people are living encyclopedias about their cars. They know about a particular brand or particular engine. And they have the knowledge that is available on the internet. So sometimes you run into some information that you didn’t know or is not publicly out there.”
News 40 is still working to learn the final turnout for Duncan Hines Days – stay tuned to find out more.
