On the championship meet, head coach Brent Chumbley said “Everything has worked out the way that we hoped it would and we’ve got the pieces in place. We just need to execute this weekend in Oregon.”

Isenbarger is one of 24 females competing in the high jump event after qualifying with a height of 1.84 meters at the NCAA East Preliminary Round. Out of the 24-woman field, she is one of just six jumpers from outside the Power Five. Isenbarger is also one of four representing a Kentucky university in the event.

The Zionsville, Ind. native broke her own program record twice this season. Her new mark of 1.88 meters was set at the Music City Challenge on April 27th. This is the eighth best jump this season in all of NCAA Division I.

Isenbarger is the first Hillopper to qualify for the outdoor women’s high jump championships in program history.

The dual-sport student-athlete is the first NCAA Outdoor Championship competitor under Chumbley. Isenbarger is the first Hilltopper to qualify for both indoor and outdoor in their career since Oliver Alexandre (2018-19).

The meet will mark the final NCAA event for the decorated multi-sport athlete. Since joining the team in 2018, Isenbarger has won two outdoor conference championships (2019, 2023), one indoor conference title (2023), and appeared in the indoor national championship (2022) in addition to this season’s outdoor championship.

The women’s high jump event begins at 4 p.m. CT on Saturday afternoon. The event will be streamed live on ESPN2 and live results are available at the link above.
