400 Mile Yard Sale to have huge economic impact on South Central Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Thursday kicks off the yearly 400 Mile Yard Sale.
Every year along Highway 68, hundreds set up yard sales where you can find just about anything and everything under the sun.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office wants to remind you to be on the lookout for increased vehicle traffic and pedestrians on the side of the roadways.
However, the sale doesn’t just impact traffic, especially considering all the happenings in Logan, Warren & Barren Counties.
“We see most of our hotel stays there… and in places like Bowling Green, they might take 2 or 3 nights in hotels and go west towards Logan County and beyond, and then stay the night again in Bowling Green and then go east towards Glasgow and Edmonton and beyond,” Tara Rhodes-Hall, the director of the 400 Mile Yard Sale says.
With the Wall That Heals in Russellville, Duncan Hines Days in Bowling Green, and a cruise-in up in Glasgow, she says there’s something fun for everyone to do both day and night that are visiting the sale.
