Summer Meal Program at Hart County High School
HART COUNTY, Ky.- Hart County Schools is now offering its annual summer feeding program for those needing it in the area.
Anyone ages 18 or younger is eligible to receive free breakfast and lunch at the Hart County High School.
Breakfast is served from 7:15 to 9:30 a.m. and shortly after, lunch is served from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The staff also prepares some breakfast meals the day before, so two meals can be picked up at once.
Amber Ard, administrative assistant to the Food Service Director at Hart County Schools, says, “But it’s operated off the same kind of program that we offer during the school year so they’re getting their meat, they’re getting their grains, they’re getting their fruit and their vegetable, and their milk, so all those key components that kids need to keep them going.”
The summer feeding program will be offered until June 21, and no meals will be served in the month of July.
