Dennison’s Roadside Market supplies locals with an abundance of fresh produce
HART COUNTY, Ky.- It is National Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Month, and local farmers are bringing in quite the selection.
Farmers have seen struggles this season because of the recent rainfall, but still manage to bring in an abundance of produce to the table.
Dennison’s Roadside Market has many tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, and other fruits and vegetables that are all either grown on the farm, or from other farmers in the area.
Owner of Dennison’s Roadside Market and farmer, Paul Dennison, says, “We basically pick daily or every other day, so therefore our produce does not sit in a cooler for two weeks or three weeks before it shipped or during shipment. It’s fresh, and I’m sure more nutritious.”
Dennison’s Roadside Market in Hart County has also been named a finalist for the Kentucky Living magazine in the farm tourist attraction category.
