6,000 boxes of cake mix donated for upcoming Duncan Hines Days

Bowling Green, KY.- Duncan Hines days are right around the corner, and you’re in for a treat. This morning, the Duncan Hines Brand and Conagra donated 6,000 boxes of cake mix, brownie mix and icing, to be handed out at all Duncan Hines Days festivities.

More than 50 community organizations have been collaborating for months to put Duncan Hines Days together and offer something for everyone.

Downtown Development Coordinator for the City of Bowling Green, Telia Butler, says, “Our goal was to provide free and accessible programs for everybody in the community and provide a little bit of something for everyone and we like to call it ‘a seat for everyone at the community table,’ that’s why you see some music, and art, and cultural events.”

In attendance, you can also enjoy recreational activities and learn about the history of the man behind the mix, Mr. Duncan Hines.
