Warren RECC working to restore the last 1,100 households without power

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Warren RECC is working to power the last of the outages from Sunday evening’s storm.

Officials report nearly 14,000 households were without power following the storms, and now 1,100 remain.

Warren RECC is being assisted by 35 crews across the state and other states, like Tennessee, Mississippi, and Indiana. The crews are working in a difficult terrain, with flooded water and fallen trees at their feet.

Senior director of communications at Warren RECC Kim Phelps, says, “If you are out and about and you see crews at work, try to give them as much space as possible. We certainly don’t want anyone to get hurt, and the more work they can get done quickly, the sooner we can get all the power on, so we really appreciate everyone’s help in that area.”

If you see a downed powerline, stay away from the area and report it to Warren RECC.
