New Aviation Heritage Park Space Shuttle Exibit Unveiled

WARREN COUNTY, KY.- Aviation Heritage Park is celebrating this Memorial Day by unveiling a new exhibit.

The Space Shuttle Atlantis replica was shown to the community today. People came from all over the commonwealth to be inspired and to see the astronaut from Russellville Terry Wilcutt who flew in this space shuttle twice.

Bob Bubnis, the executive director of the  Aviation Heritage Park Shares why having exhibits like these are important. He says, “When they look at this, we’re hoping they’ll be inspired. We hope parents will bring their kids out and let them see all the exhibits here, but this one is really special because again, it’s something that, nobody else has and it’s something that is close to home. ”

If you missed the unveiling, you can still visit the park to see the space shuttle. A small trip to the park might spark a whole new interest for you or your child. For more details, visit https://www.aviationheritagepark.com/.
