WCSO investigates suspicious bag, portion of downtown Bowling Green closed to traffic

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a suspicious bag left in the downtown Bowling Green area.

Monday evening around 8 p.m., portions of downtown Bowling Green were closed to traffic, as sheriff’s deputies investigated the area. Sheriff Brett Hightower tells us this is out of an abundance of caution. The area of College Street and East Tenth Avenue, near the sheriff’s department is blocked to traffic.

It is recommended to avoid the area while deputies continue the investigation.
