BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The trend of high school athletes signing to play in college continued on Friday over at South Warren High School for a pair of Spartan soccer stars.
Parker Jhamb and Blake Bere will stay teammates after signing to play soccer at Transylvania University in Lexington.
The two have spent a lot of time crafting their skills on the pitch, and now that work has payed off in the form of a college scholarship.
After signing, both Jahm and Bere shared their emotions.
“Playing at the next level, playing collegiate soccer has always been a dream of mine,” Jhamb said. “I’ve been working towards this goal for a while, and today, you know, to actually be actually committed today, signing today, it’s a great feeling.”
“No regrets at all. I mean there have been hard steps throughout the whole process, but I’ve loved it all,” Bere said. “It’s worth it. It’s amazing to finally be able to say that I get to go play another four years. I’m so excited.”
