Secretary of State Michael Adams on early voting & 2024 election

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Early in-person voting starts Thursday, May 16th with Election Day just a few days away.

This voting will last until Saturday, May 18th.

To find out when and where early voting takes place in your county, you can visit the State Board of Elections website: GoVote.KY.gov.

We spoke to Secretary of State Michael Adams this afternoon, who told us he’s excited to be able to keep 3 days of early voting for those in Kentucky.

He also told us what he expects to see as far as voter turnout this year.

“Right now, our estimate is about 15%. That’s consistent with what we saw a year ago and also two years ago in those elections… so we do expect similar turnout for this primary in November, though it’s going to be through the roof… probably four times as many voters will come out in November,” he says.

Poll workers are also needed for election season. You must be over the age of 18 and be registered to vote in order to apply.

You can contact your local county clerk if interested in helping out.
