Drake’s restaurant location in Bowling Green expected to open in fall

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- It’s no secret that Drake’s restaurant is coming to Bowling Green, Kentucky. In fact, it’s been a hot topic in the community whether they’re going to open or not.

For more than four years, Drake’s has been trying to come to Bowling Green, and now they have officially begun construction. This new arrival will bring more than just good food. The restaurant will be able to hold about 300 hundred guests, and it’s bringing 175 jobs to Bowling Green.

Mark Thornburg, Drake’s COO at Bluegrass Hospitality Group, shares his perspective.

He says, “We’ve been looking in Bowling Green for a long time. I mean, a very, very long time. We have, a lot of cheerleaders, if you will, a lot of guests that travel back and forth to, Lexington that have been big fans of, Bluegrass Hospitality Group for years now.”
