Norton Children’s flight nurse shares experience during National Nurses Week
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – It’s National Nurses Week, and one nurse soars to the highest heights for her patients and her community.
Amy Ball has been a nurse for 23 years. Like most nurses throughout her journey, her heart to serve has not changed.
She tells us, “Nurses are the ones that you just don’t – you can’t do it without them. They are the backbone of health care, and they are the ones who show up every single day, day in, day out.”
Her position as a flight nurse with Norton Children’s Hospital allows her to be there for her patients and their families. This makes a massive difference in every life that she encounters.
“There’s so many opportunities and so many different ways that you can be fulfilled in your career. You’re part of whatever community that you go to, and those people, put their trust in you to take good care of their kids,” Ball says.
Ball is not the only nurse out there we should give a huge thank you to. If you know a nurse or if you see a nurse, be sure to show your appreciation, as National Nurses Week continues through May 12.
