Moore Introduced as New Warren East Volleyball Head Coach

Shea Moore will take the reins at Warren East following a successful tenure from Sheila Yokley, who led the team to two straight 15th district championships.

Moore is a Bowling Green native, graduating as a member of the Purple’s volleyball team in 2018, and after finishing up her playing career at Cumberland University in Tennessee, she returns to Warren County, looking to improve on the Raiders recent success.

After her introductory presser, Moore shared what will be the first thing she instills into her team as head coach.

“I always want to implement a positive environment first. You know, let’s get in there and everybody is pushing everybody to be better,” she said. “I want the competitiveness in our gym to be more competitive than against the other team. It’s about what’s happening on our side of the net, not about what’s happening on the other side of the net, so let’s build. Hey, I’m gonna push you to be better and you’re gonna push me to be better. Not we’re all gonna be better than the other kids.”
