Brownsville firearms store holding veterans clothing drive

BROWNSVILLE, Ky. – Winter weather is fast-approaching, which means there are many individuals in the area who will need a way to stay warm during the cold months that lie ahead.
One firearms store in Edmonson County is helping to address that issue for a select group.
C&C Firearms in Brownsville, Ky., is holding a clothing drive for veterans in need for the second time ever.
The clothing drive runs through the end of November so that they can distribute the clothing before the bitterly cold months of December and January.
The store is looking for donations of clothing, coats and shoes for veterans in dire need of those items.
Used clothes are being accepted, but it’s asked that the be washed before being donated.
Socks and underwear are also needed, but those items must be new.
Donations will also be accepted to purchase more clothes for the drive.
C&C Firearms Owner Josh Casey said this is a small way to give back to a group of people who gave so much in service of this country.
Casey also said he hopes to eventually makes this an annual event.
