Family Enrichment Center holds proclamation for Child Abuse Prevention Month
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Family Enrichment Center along with the Coalition to Prevent Child Abuse, made a proclamation to celebrate National Child Abuse Prevention Month and the efforts in our community to end child abuse.
They had to relocate to the Family Enrichment Center office due to inclement weather, but that did not stop them from handing out thousands of blue ribbons and highlighting the different events in our community, like the Great Teddy Bear Run from the Barren River Child Advocacy Center and Family Enrichment Center “FORE! Our Kids Golf Scramble,” among many other efforts that spread awareness among the community.
Assistant Director at the Family Enrichment Center, Lynn Hulsey, says, “The Family Enrichment Center’s mission is to empower families and prevent child abuse, but our goal in that is just to support families, and help families be the best that they can possibly be, so that their kids grow up happy, healthy, and safe.”
The Family Enrichment Center holds this proclamation every April, but they strive to have a lasting impact on child abuse prevention all year long.
