Kentucky Science Center survey results help gauge interest in Bowling Green branch

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – You may remember we recently told you about a survey that looked to help gauge interest for a branch of the Kentucky Science Center in Bowling Green.

Downtown BGKY says they only expected around 50 responses to this survey, but got 2,600 instead.

This lead to some Kentucky Science Center board members touring popular spots in Bowling Green on Tuesday, like Downtown and Lost River Cave.

Downtown BGKY staff say these board members were very curious about learning as much as they could about Bowling Green in hopes of potentially bringing a science center here.

“A science center like what they could do would be great for locals, residents and tourists and benefit our entire culture and quality of life here… should they build it… and we are very confident that it’s going to happen. It’s just a matter of where exactly, and how big and when,” Telia Butler, Downtown Development Coordinator for the City of Bowling Green says.

She also says the community should continue supporting the science center in the coming months as they make their decision.
