Traffic lights damaged in Russellville
LOGAN COUNTY, KY.- There have been multiple reports of traffic lights and signal equipment being damaged by gunshots in Russellville.
Wes Watt, with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet in district 3 tells us, this does not only impact taxpayer dollars to fix the destruction. It can also affect driver’s safety if there are no traffic signals to direct drivers. He says, “It’s not only a money thing, but it’s a safety thing. And we’ve got to have it stop because it keeps happening, ultimately, this is taxpayer money that’s being wasted because of this.”
The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is currently working with law enforcement agencies and offering a $500 reward to anyone who can identify the individuals responsible for this destruction.
