City of Scottsville awarded $214,547 for road repairs
SCOTTSVILLE, Ky.- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet is awarding the city of Scottsville more than $214,000 to fix seven roadways.
The roads are: West Cherry Street, East Cherry Street, North 8th Street, East Poplar Street, South Court Street, South 6th Street and West Main Street.
The money will be used to resurface the roadways and repair existing surface cracks, potholes and base failures.
The combined length of resurfacing work totals more than two miles. More than 100 homes and businesses are served by the city streets, in addition to multiple churches and a jail facility.
The city is responsible for administering the work and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet will reimburse the city for the project.
