Greenwood Junior Named KHSAA Student-Athlete of the Year
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – A local student-athlete was awarded a state-wide honor today over at Greenwood.
Gator Caleb Williams was named the KHSAA Indoor Track and Field student-athlete of the year after this past season.
Being just a junior, Williams is already looking forward to the opportunity of retaining this title as a senior.
After being tabbed as the top track and field athlete in the state, he shared who helped him achieve this award.
“My coach, Coach Garrett, he’s a great coach. He definitely pushes us every day in practice, and I have great teammates all around me,” Williams said. “Telltale, Caden, all of them, they definitely push me in every single rep that we do in practice here. Getting athlete of the year was definitely a huge accomplishment for me. It just definitely shows that, you know, all the work that we’ve been putting in at practice every day has definitely paid off.”
