Woodburn Fire Department hosts annual Pancake Breakfast

WARREN COUNTY, Ky.- On Saturday, people from all over Warren County showed for a $5 pancake breakfast that supports local volunteer firefighters.

Dozens of people got together to fellowship and enjoy the annual Pancake Breakfast at the Woodburn Volunteer Fire Department. Not only did the fundraiser help the fire department, people enjoyed pancakes sausage biscuits and gravy.

Chief Bob Skipper of the Woodburn Volunteer Fire Department shares how the community responds to the community event.

He says, “It means a lot to the community. We provide a service, that’s all volunteer. We don’t get paid for any of it in exchange for our hard work. They get to enjoy, first of all, the peace of mind that they are covered. It gives the community a chance to come and see us and interact with us at a time when they’re not stressed and having an issue going on in their families.”

The fire department will continue to keep the community safe and provide opportunities for people to unite to make the community better.
