Preparing for spring pests

BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- Preparing for pests this spring can be very vital,  and with the warm weather ahead most bugs are becoming pretty popular.

You might have seen a spike in beetles, wasps and maybe even bed bugs as recently seen in a Hart County school. Experts say “As the temps rise  and with more moisture, the reproduction of many pests will increase.”

According to Jimmy Blankenship, the owner of Guarantee Pest Control, “There are going to be a lot of pests. A lot of people think that cold weather kills insects and it does not. Dry weather does. Cold weather, they can make it through cold weather no matter what.”

Guarantee pest control also tells us termites are about to swarm around March, and you should know the difference between ants and termites. Termites have a dark brown body and their wings are gray. For more information visit https://guaranteepestcontrol.com/pests/termites/.
