Creating a cleaner county

BARREN COUNTY, KY.- Barren County and Park City are working together to create a clean community.

With their new recycling trailer at Bell’s Tavern Park, Barren County Solid Waste is making it easier for people to recycle plastic, aluminum cans, and lots of cardboard to help give people a better opportunity to recycle.

Marcus Thurman, the Solid Waste Coordinator shares what motivated more recycling. He says, “It feels great. Helping the community, helping the environment. The more we can provide for our community, the better off we’re gonna live and helping clean up the community as in trash, and recyclable stuff like that. It just makes a better place, for all of us living. ”
