Sheriff’s office victim of hit and run

Update: Warren County Sheriff Brett Hightower spoke with the suspect, Ryan McCraw, after he turned himself in Thursday afternoon for the wreck.

Hightower says, the Sheriff’s office believes alcohol to be the cause of the accident.

The Sheriff also says charges are expected to be filed against McCraw.

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Someone hit a Warren County Sheriff’s Office vehicle Wednesday night on College Street and then took off.

The driver of a 2003 Toyota hit an unoccupied sheriff’s vehicle that was parked on College Street, according the sheriff’s office Facebook page.

The driver took off running toward the square and hasn’t been caught as of Thursday morning.

Investigators are working to track down the owner of the car.
