Artis Eden celebrates 75 years of service to Masonic Lodge
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One local man was recognized this past weekend for his years of service to the Masonic Lodge.
A longtime member, 96-year-old Artis Eden, got a certificate celebrating 75 years as a member of the Masonic Lodge in Bowling Green.
Eden was not a part of the military, but he joined when he was just 21 years old.
News 40 spoke to the grand master of the Grand Lodge of Kentucky, who came all the way over from Somerset, Kentucky to present the certificate and pin to Eden.
He says the two-hour drive is well worth it.
“It’s very well worth it to see this brother in such a good mood is such physical shape. The amount of people that showed up for this presentation today is truly an honor and I’m humbled to be in his presence,” Richard Short says.
News 40 congratulates Eden on his 75 years of membership.
