Dance Mini Red fundraiser for Norton’s Children’s Hospital
WARREN COUNTY, KY.- More than 150 students flooded the Rich Pond Elementary School Gym to experience an afternoon full of fun dancing and learning the value of giving back through a fundraiser for Norton’s Children’s Hospital.
The sponsor for Dance Little Red Erika Lawless how this impacts all the children that are reached by this. Erika says, “It’s great for the kids to experience this in Bowling Green where they can hopefully partake in dance a little read as a high schooler, and if they go to WKU, they can join Dance Big Red as well, and it’s also great for them to know giving back when you can not only benefit them but benefits kids that they don’t know .”
Mae Hutchins a high school Dance Little Red ambassador shares how this has given her a new perspective. Mae says, “My family doesn’t have any health issues, and I think my family, often takes that for granted, and this is just a way that I it’s like eye-opening and I can give back to the people that aren’t necessarily that lucky. it’s just a great community thing, and I just love it.”
The experience does not stop and the dancing and the fundraiser. The students will also be able to perform the dance they learned at a halftime show.
