Western Kentucky University students relocating due to shifting in the exterior structure

BOWLING GREEN, KY.- Many students at WKU are being forced to relocate this week. Students who live at Hilltopper Hall are having to find a new home because the building is shifting. This has taken a toll on many students. They say this experience is described as a sacrifice and struggle, especially for the ones moving off campus.

A sophomore Hilltopper Hall resident, Sabree Lefebbre shares her experience with moving. She says, “I’m stressing a little because they still haven’t told me where I’m going, and I’m a little stressed because it’s just you have to pack everything up and then put it all away again, and my gosh. ” Sabree also tells us that she is supposed to receive some help from WKU, but she is uncertain of where she’s going.

WKU is knocking off some of the prices for certain dorms, but for the students who live off campus finding a place that will allow a five to six-month lease will be difficult. News 40 will keep you updated with the latest details.
