The Presbyterian Church meets the needs of the community through Gloves for Love
BOWLING GREEN, Ky.- One local church in downtown Bowling Green is giving a warm gift to the less fortunate in our community.
Gloves for Love was started at The Presbyterian Church four years ago and continues to keep people warm through this year’s winter weather conditions.
Church officials tell us this project is for people to take what they need anonymously, but the need of the community is seen by how often they must restock the fence, most of the time it’s daily.
The Presbyterian Church missions chair, Brianna Trickey, says, “Homelessness and poverty is just continuing to go up, and we’re seeing more and more of a need for the gloves, the hats, the scarfs, and for our food pantry here at church, so we’re just trying to meet the needs of our community.”
To donate any warm items, you can visit the church office or leave donations attached to the fence.
