The Queen’s Closet throws charity ball
RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A clothing boutique is doing a good deed and hoping to keep it going for as long as they can.
The Queen’s Closet in Russellville is throwing a charity ball on the night of February 17, to benefit two local organizations in a meaningful way. This year, they’ll be having their inaugural charity ball that will support the Isaiah 117 House and Life Choice Pregnancy Center.
The owner of the boutique said she just wanted to do something to give back to the community that has supported her and her family. News 40 was told that over a 3 month period, her husband has been undergoing cancer treatment in Houston, and the town has really supported them through their ordeal.
According to the shopkeep, both organizations will receive 100% of the ticket proceeds as well as 10% of the dress and tux rentals at The Queen’s Closet.
The ball will be a black tie event so the shop hopes that tickets will sell out and that everyone will come dressed to the nines. There will also be some awards given out to the best dressed single man, woman and couple overall.
