Updates to bus routes causing confusion on the Hill
BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Topper Transit buses are meant to be a convenient service for students. Updates to the bus routes, among other things, are causing some confusion and frustration.
Students say an update to the bus routes this semester has caused some confusion on the Hill as far as what bus goes where.
Bus stops are located throughout campus and some even travel to shopping locations for those students who don’t have cars.
The WKU app also recently updated, which is another reason why students say they are having difficulty finding bus routes.
Students say the app is complicated to use. Some students say they’ve ended up downtown due to getting on the wrong bus.
WKU student Jon Lawler said he’s hopeful that students will adjust to the app overtime.
“It’s worrying because I know there’s a lot of times where we may be running where we have to get to the exact spot to get to class on time. I think that WKU’s trying to do a good job trying to improve the transit system. I think the priority should just be fixing the app. I think that’ll make things a lot smoother,” Lawler said.
