News 40 Weather | On the Brink of a Warming Trend
ANOTHER COLD NIGHT…
The clouds will stay with us during the overnight hours (we’ll call it mostly cloudy) and temperatures will drop to the upper 20s by morning. Some patchy fog is possible, too, as we head through the overnight hours. The good news? Skies stay dry.
WARMER WITH UP-AND-DOWN TEMPS
Friday trends a little warmer with highs in the upper 40s. A fast-moving clipper system will knock temperatures down for Saturday and bring a chance of some isolated sprinkles or snow showers for Friday afternoon. We’ll clear out for Saturday but highs will only make it into the low 30s. Beginning Sunday, though, a nice warm up gets underway…highs will reach into the upper 40s for Super Bowl Sunday then into the low to mid-60s through the first half of next week. Morning lows will trend in the 20s and 30s through the weekend and into the 40s by the middle of next week.
Skies stay dry through the weekend. Our next chance of rain arrives by Tuesday afternoon. The good news? It’s all rain…liquid form and not frozen!
