Warren County Schools approve a $208 million budget

BOWLING GREEN Ky.-The Warren County School District approved its new budget, and it places a major emphasis on school security.

Some $500,000 of the $208 million will be used for safety enhancements.

Money will be spent on equipping school entrances with window film that is force resistant, more security cameras and additional school resource officers.

Warren County Schools chief financial officer Chris Mcintyre said it’s all worth it.

“It’s always good to be able to be a leader in an area. I feel like that’s what our school district has done for many years,” Mcintyre said.

Some of the money will also be used to add social workers in the schools to aid in mental health.
