Firehouse Festival back in Bowling Green
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Bowling Green Fire Department is throwing their Firehouse Festival once again this year for the community.
BGFD public information officer Katie McKee told News 40 the fun starts on Saturday, September 23 at 2 p.m. and goes till 4 p.m. with a variety of things for kids and families to do like bucket rides and a dunk tank, but they’ll also have a demonstration set up to show the importance of sleeping with your door closed in case of a fire breaking out at home.
Mckee said it’s about a 1,000 degree difference between rooms when a house has caught fire.
The event is set up just to educate and meet with the community, of course that is completely free to the public. The festival will be in the parking lot of JCPenny in the Greenwood Mall.
