No tolerance policy for vaping continues at Barren County Schools
BARREN COUNTY, Ky. – It was a big problem they cracked down on last school year that they’re continuing to enforce.
Michael Davis, Barren County’s middle school principal gave News 40 a few minutes to talk about the start of school with regard to their new policy they started last year which has been amended some since last August.
Davis said that since implementing the policy, they’ve seen a significant decrease in vaping incidents and hope to keep them that way with the use of school administered punishment as well as teaching about the risks to your health associated with vaping.
Davis said the middle school will be hosting a meeting for parents to talk about vaping ahead of going back to school on Friday, August 3 at 4 p.m. in the cafeteria to continue the battle against underage use of nicotine products in the school system.
